Monitor Filter Rules

Configure file types, minimum file size and duplicate filtering for TG-Downloader Auto Monitor, and understand the 60-second polling behavior.

Filters are configured when a monitor is created or edited.

File types

Choose any combination of Videos, Images, Docs, Archive and Audio. If nothing is selected, all file types are downloaded.

Minimum file size

Min File Size (MB) skips files smaller than the selected value. It is useful for excluding thumbnails and tiny attachments.

Skip duplicates

When enabled, files with the same local name and size are skipped.

Comments and replies

Download comments/replies also saves the discussion under each message when the current plan supports it.

When downloads begin

The app polls each group every 60 seconds. A download is created only when new messages are found. With no new content, it writes a log line instead.

A log filled with No new messages: Latest ID unchanged is therefore normal.

If a monitor is not downloading, check:

  1. The card status is Monitoring.
  2. The group actually received a new file.
  3. The file was not removed by file type or minimum size filters.
  4. The logs contain no permission, account or network error.
