macOS blocks the first launch

The app is not signed with a paid Apple developer certificate. On first launch macOS may say it cannot verify the developer or that the app is damaged. Neither message means the package is broken or infected.

Recommended method:

Drag TG-Downloader into Applications.
Double-click it once so macOS records the blocked launch.
Open System Settings → Privacy & Security.
Find TG-Downloader in the Security section and click Open Anyway.
Confirm with your password, then open the app and click Open again.

You can also run:

sudo xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/TG-Downloader.app

The Terminal does not display your password while you type it.

First launch on Windows

Double-click TG-Downloader.exe. If Windows Defender shows Windows protected your PC, click More info → Run anyway.

After the first launch

The app starts signed out. You can browse the interface, but download quota and membership-related features take effect after signing in. Continue with Sign Up and Sign In.

Where data is stored

Accounts, settings and history	A local data folder in your user directory
Download engine	Unpacked on first run and updated with the app

Uninstalling does not automatically remove local data. Delete the data folder manually if you need to; deletion is permanent.

Uninstall and move to another computer

Windows: delete TG-Downloader.exe.
macOS: move the app from Applications to the Bin.
Membership follows the app account, but Telegram accounts, history and downloaded files do not sync.
If the device limit is reached, sign out on the old machine first.
