Switch the Active Download Account
Switch the active Telegram account in TG-Downloader, understand the status-bar update and learn how monitors stay bound to their creator account.
How to switch
In the account list:
- Click Use on a row.
- Or double-click the row.
The active account changes immediately, and the Account field in the status bar updates. Future manual and batch tasks use this Telegram account.
When multiple accounts help
- Different Telegram accounts belong to different groups.
- You want to spread download volume and reduce rate limiting.
- You prefer to keep your main account out of large download jobs.
Your plan controls the number of accounts you can add.
A monitor stays bound to the account selected when it was created. Changing the active account does not change existing monitors. Edit the monitor to select another account.
